Renovation of a Residence in Southern Paros, 2019

This residence, located in the southern part of Paros, underwent a complete renovation of its interior as well as a redesign of the surrounding outdoor space.

While preserving the building’s original shell, the organization of the living spaces was substantially reconsidered. Significant modifications to the facade openings were essential for the proper functioning of the building.

At the same time, the residence’s main veranda was widened, with the new pool forming its extension.

The shared axis of the kitchen, living room, and veranda creates a direct dialogue between interior and exterior space, reinforced by the imposing pergola.

Functionally significant changes were also made to the building’s rear outdoor area. Access was improved, parking spaces were designed, and, while preserving the semi-rocky landscape, replanting was carried out using native shrub species.

The materials used were local stone for all the landscaping of the surrounding area, accoya wood for the interior roof beams and the construction of the pergola, Cretan marble for the sink units and bathroom cladding, and reclaimed stone for all the flooring.
